“Veri silinse de izi kalır” düşüncesinden yola çıkan bu üç aşamalı seri, dijital çağın görünmeyen çöplerini ve bilgi fazlalığının bellekte yarattığı yükü fiziksel ve dijital yüzeylerde sorgular. “Data_fade”, silinmiş verinin izini sürer; “Residual_Grid “, görünmeyeni görünür kılar; “Trace Code”, tekrar eden veriyi dijital bir bozulmaya dönüştürür. İzleyici bu sürecin hem parçası hem tetikleyiciye dönüşür.
Data_fade: Silinmiş gibi görünen veriler, bellekte iz bırakmaya devam eder. Gofre yüzeydeki boşluklar, unutulmuş bilginin kalıcılığını temsil eder. Görünmeyen, dokunulabilir bir hâle gelir.
Residual_Grid: Bir görüntüye ulaşmak, sayısız görünmeyen veriyi harekete geçirir. Bu iş, erişimin ardındaki dijital yükü görünür kılar. Kod, görüntüden önce gelir; çünkü artık izlenen değil, ulaşmak için harcanan veri asıl malzemedir
Trace Code: Veri, tekrar ettikçe anlamını kaybeder. Kodlar ve görseller iç içe geçer; yüzey bozulur, bilgi gürültüye dönüşür. Bu iş, verinin artık bilgi değil, yük olduğunu anlatır.
Based on the idea that “even when data is erased, its traces remain,” this three-part series investigates the invisible waste of the digital age and the overload of information on memory across both physical and digital surfaces. Data_fade follows the remnants of deleted data; Residual_Grid makes the invisible visible; Trace Code transforms repetitive information into digital distortion. The viewer becomes both a participant in this process and its catalyst.
Data_fade: Data that appears to have been deleted continues to leave traces in memory. The voids on the embossed surface represent the persistence of forgotten information. What is unseen becomes tangible.
Residual_Grid: Accessing an image activates countless invisible data. This work reveals the digital burden that lies behind access. Code precedes the image, for it is no longer what is watched but the data expended to reach it that becomes the true material.
Trace Code: As data repeats, it loses its meaning. Codes and visuals intertwine; the surface deteriorates, and information turns into noise. This work conveys that data is no longer knowledge but an overload.
