Taş, yalnızca yer tutmaz; zaman biriktirir. Bu çalışma, görünür olanla hatırlanan arasında, uykudaki bir belleği yoklar. Işık, geçmişi uyandırmakla yetinmez; şimdiyle çatıştırır. İnsan, o uykunun kıyısında, bir varoluş kırıntısı gibi belirir. Bu imgeler, taşın sessizliğinde yankılanan unutulmuş varlık hâlini arar hem mekânda hem insanda.
Antik Pergamon’da ise taş, yalnızca bir arkeolojik kalıntı değil; zamana direnen, belleği taşıyan bir varlık olarak karşımıza çıkar. Uyuyan taşların arasında dolaşan insan, kendi unutuluşuyla yüzleşir. Antik Pergamon’un katmanlı yapısı, taşın belleği ile insanın belleğini birbirine dokundurur; böylece imgeler yalnızca geçmişi uyandırmaz, bugünün varoluşunu da sorgular.
Stone doesn’t just occupy space; it accumulates time. This work probes a dormant memory between the visible and the remembered. Light isn’t content with awakening the past; it collides it with the present. Humanity emerges on the edge of that sleep like a fragment of existence. These images search for the forgotten state of being that echoes in the silence of stone, both in space and in humanity.
In ancient Pergamon, however, stone is not merely an archaeological relic; it appears as an entity that resists time and carries memory. Wandering among the sleeping stones, one confronts one’s own oblivion. Ancient Pergamon’s layered structure interweaves the memory of stone and the memory of humanity; thus, the images not only evoke the past but also question the existence of today.
