Bu çalışma, mikroskobik dünyanın makro boyuta taşınarak yeniden yorumlanmasıdır. Penicillium adlı mikroorganizmanın elektron mikroskobu altında çekilen görüntüsünden yola çıkılmıştır. Bu organizma, hem ilk antibiyotiğin üretildiği şifa kaynağı hem de gıda bozulmasına neden olan zararlı bir küf türüdür. Yararlı ve zararlı etkilerinin bir arada bulunması, ironik bir zıtlık oluşturur. Gözle görülemeyecek boyutta olan bu canlı, uygun koşullarda hızla yayılıp küfe dönüşerek başka bir gerçekliği ortaya koyar. Mikroskobik düzeydeki bu denge ve bütünlük, hayranlık uyandıran başka bir dünyanın varlığına işaret eder. Bu çalışmada, zaman ve gözlem aracılığıyla mikrodan makroya taşınan bu zıtlık, bir topografya imgesine dönüştürülmüş ve “zıtlığın ahengi” tınısı oluşturulmuştur.
This work is a reinterpretation of the microscopic world translated into a macro scale. It is inspired by the electron microscope image of the microorganism Penicillium. This organism represents both a source of healing — as the producer of the first antibiotic — and a harmful mold that causes food spoilage. The coexistence of its beneficial and detrimental effects creates an ironic contrast. Though invisible to the naked eye, this living being rapidly spreads under suitable conditions, transforming into mold and revealing another layer of reality. The balance and unity observed at this microscopic level point to the existence of another, awe-inspiring world. In this work, through time and observation, the contrast carried from the micro to the macro has been transformed into a topographic image, evoking the resonance of “the harmony of opposites.”
