VELAT EREN (Mardin, 2000)

Bu bayrak, insanlığın bilinçsiz uyumuna, sorgusuz kabullenişine ve benliğini yitirmişliğine bir karşı duruştur. Hepimizin farklı olduğunu unuttuğu, tek tip düşüncenin egemen olduğu, bireyselliğin ayıplandığı bir çağda, sürü psikolojisinin gölgesinde kaybolmuş ruhlara bir işarettir. Bu bayrak, koyun postundan yapıldı. Çünkü koyun, sürü zihniyetinin en güçlü metaforudur. Sürüden ayrılmayan, önderinin peşinden sorgulamadan giden, düzenin içinde kaybolmuş insanın bir yansımasıdır. Sürüden Ayrılın. Düşünün. Sorgulayın… Ve her rengin ayrı bir anlamını taşımaktadır. Kırmızı: Körü körüne bağlanılan ideolojiler, sorgusuz sadakat ve içgüdüsel tepkiler… Sarı: Umut ve bireysellik… Turuncu: Geçiş… Uyku ile uyanış arasında sıkışıp kalmış bilinçlerin rengi. Bu bayrak, çürümüş bir düzene direnişin sembolüdür. Parçalanmış, yıpranmış ama hâlâ dalgalanıyor. Çünkü birey yok edilse bile düşünce yok edilemez. 

This flag is a protest against the unconscious conformity, unquestioning acceptance and loss of self of humanity. In an age where we have forgotten that we are all different, where a single-minded thought dominates and individuality is shamed, it is a sign to souls lost in the shadow of herd psychology. This flag was made from sheepskin. Because the sheep is the strongest metaphor for the herd mentality. It is a reflection of the human who does not leave the herd, who follows his leader without questioning, who is lost in the order. Leave the Herd. Think about it. Question… And each color has a different meaning. Red: Blindly adhering ideologies, unquestioning loyalty and instinctive reactions… Yellow: Hope and individuality… Orange: Transition… The color of Decencies trapped between sleep and awakening. This flag is a symbol of resistance to a rotten order. Torn, worn out, but still waving. Because even if the individual is destroyed, the thought cannot be destroyed.
