Çalışmada yalnızca diz altı kısmı ve ayakkabıları görülen bir figür yer alır; bu kısmi temsil, çağdaş sanatın kimlik, görünürlük ve bireysellik kavramlarını sorgulayan yaklaşımını yansıtır. Figürün başsız oluşu, bireyin toplum içindeki anonimleşmesini ve bastırılmış kimliğini simgelerken, arka plandaki kırmızı zemin ve ortadaki bölünme hattı, karşıtlık ve ikilik duygusunu güçlendirir. Sanatçı, bedeni bütünüyle göstermek yerine parçalayarak izleyiciyi “kimlik neyle tanımlanır, görünüş mü yoksa varlık mı?” sorusu üzerine düşünmeye davet eder. Bu yönüyle eser, çağdaş sanatın temsilin sınırlarını zorlayan ve izleyiciyi anlam üretimine aktif biçimde katan kavramsal yaklaşımıyla doğrudan bağlantı kurar.
In this work, a figure is depicted with only the lower legs and shoes visible; this partial representation reflects contemporary art’s approach of questioning concepts such as identity, visibility, and individuality. The absence of the head symbolizes the individual’s anonymization and suppressed identity within society, while the red background and the dividing line in the center intensify the sense of contrast and duality. By fragmenting the body instead of showing it as a whole, the artist invites the viewer to reflect on the question: “What defines identity — appearance or existence?” In this respect, the piece directly connects with the conceptual approach of contemporary art that challenges the boundaries of representation and actively engages the viewer in the production of meaning.
