Anneyle kurulan bağın ilk nesnesi olan meme, kadın, anne, bereket, doğum, besin kavramlarını temsil eder. Besleyici ve yakınlaştırıcı olması gereken meme, temasın yokluğunda sıradan ve yapay bir nesneye dönüşür. Kişisel tarihi irdelediğim “Küp Memeler”, annemle aramdaki kopukluktan doğan bu yabancılaşmaya işaret eder. “MOM”, doğal olanın sunileşme sürecine ve bağın yokluğundan doğan boşluğa odaklanır.
The breast, the first object of the bond formed with the mother, represents the concepts of woman, mother, fertility, birth, and nourishment. The breast, which should be nurturing and bonding, becomes an ordinary and artificial object in the absence of contact. “Cube Breasts,” which I examine in terms of personal history, points to this alienation arising from the disconnect between my mother and me. “MOM” focuses on the process of the natural becoming artificial and the void arising from the absence of connection.
