“Kayıp Günlük”, temsilin kırılganlığı ve belleğin silik katmanları etrafında şekillenen bir çalışmadır. Kaybolmuş bir günlüğün yeniden inşası, hatırlamanın hem yıkıcı hem de yeniden kurucu doğasını görünür kılar. Her hatırlama girişimi, kaybın kendisini onarma çabası kadar, onu yeniden bozma riskini de taşır. Defter ve tuvaller, belleğin farklı biçimlerde işlenen halleri olarak birbirini tamamlar. Günlük, hatırlanabildiği kadar dijital ortamda yeniden kurgulanmış ve fiziksel bir defter olarak basılmıştır. Sayfalar bilinçli bir şekilde bulanıklaştırılmış, bazıları boş bırakılmıştır. Ancak bu müdahaleler keyfi değil, hatırlamanın yoğunluğu, biçimi ve duyusal iziyle orantılıdır. Tuvaller ise, belleğin bedensel, maddesel ve sezgisel katmanlarını dışavurur. Her biri birer palimpsest gibi, geçmişin silik kalıntılarını yeni katmanlarla örter ve açığa çıkarır.
Bu çalışma, izleyiciyi yalnızca hatırlananla değil, hatırlanamayanın varlığıyla da ilişki kurmaya davet eder. “Kayıp Günlük”, yitirilmiş an’lardan kalan boşluğun nasıl yeniden doldurulmaya çalışıldığını, belleğin aynı anda hem unutma hem hatırlama gücüyle nasıl şekillendiğini özgün bir düzlemde bizlere gösterir.
“The Lost Diary” is a work shaped around the fragility of representation and the faint layers of memory. The reconstruction of a lost diary reveals the dual nature of remembering both destructive and reconstructive. Every act of recollection carries within it the desire to mend the loss as much as the risk of distorting it once again. The notebook and the paintings embody different modes through which memory is processed and materialized. The diary has been digitally reimagined reconstructed as far as it could be remembered and printed as a physical object. Its pages have been deliberately blurred, some left entirely blank. Yet these interventions are not arbitrary; they correspond to the intensity, form, and sensory traces of remembering. The paintings, on the other hand, manifest the bodily, material, and intuitive layers of memory. Each one, like a palimpsest, conceals and simultaneously reveals the faded remnants of the past through new layers.
This work invites the viewer to engage not only with what is remembered, but also with what remains unremembered. “The Lost Diary” explores how the void left by lost moments strives to be filled again, showing how memory continuously reshapes itself through the simultaneous forces of forgetting and recalling within an original, multilayered plane of perception.
