Bu çalışmada, eski bir fotoğraftaki kişinin giydiği kıyafetler çimento ile kaplanarak mekâna yerleştirilmiş ve fotoğraf yanına konumlandırılmıştır. Çimentonun sertliği ile kumaşın yumuşaklığı arasındaki karşıtlık, hafızanın maddeselliği ve anıların kırılganlığına dair metaforik bir alan yaratır. Bellek ve mekân ilişkisini sorgulayan bu çalışma, gündelik objelerin sanat bağlamına taşınmasıyla kimlik ve aidiyet kavramlarını yeniden yorumlar.
In this work, the clothes worn by the person in an old photograph are coated with cement, placed within the exhibition space, and positioned next to the photograph. The contrast between the hardness of cement and the softness of fabric creates a metaphorical space that explores the materiality of memory and the fragility of recollection. The work’s interrogation of the relationship between memory and space reinterprets the notions of identity and belonging by transferring everyday objects into an artistic context.
