Varoluşçu felsefeye göre insanın doğuştan bir özü yoktur; kişi, kim olduğunu kendi seçimleriyle inşa eder. Ancak bu inşa süreci, büyük bir sorumluluk ve cesaret gerektirir. Bu çalışmada, bireyin kendini var etme yolculuğunda karşılaştığı zorluklara odaklandım. Özellikle imkânsız gibi görünen durumlarda bile vazgeçmeden çabalamayı, insanın kendi sınırlarını aşma gücünü anlatmak istedim. Çünkü gerçek gelişim, en çok zorlandığımız noktalarda ortaya çıkar. Punch nakışının ilmek ilmek ilerleyen yapısı, insanın kendini inşa etme süreciyle benzerlik taşır. Her bir ilmek, bir adımın, bir emeğin, bir dönüşümün sembolüdür. Bu nedenle teknik, eserin kavramsal altyapısının da bir parçası hâline gelmiştir.
According to existentialist philosophy, humans are not born with an inherent essence; individuals construct who they are through their own choices. However, this process of construction requires great responsibility and courage. In this work, I focused on the difficulties individuals encounter on their journey of self-actualization. I wanted to convey the power of humans to overcome their own limitations by persevering even in seemingly impossible situations. Because true development emerges most at the points where we struggle the most. The structure of punch embroidery, which progresses stitch by stitch, bears similarities to the process of human self-construction. Each stitch is a symbol of a step, an effort, a transformation. For this reason, the technique has also become part of the conceptual foundation of the work.
