Bireyin varlığını inşa etme sürecine odaklanan “Habitus” serisi, birey-toplum-doğa ekseninde gelişen bir ekosistem oluşturur. Algılama, hissetme, düşünme, davranma ve hayatta kalma gibi insana özgü içselleştirme sürecinden geçen pratiklerin izini sürer. Toplumsal ve sosyal yapıların etkisi ile gelişen bu süreci şekillendiren ortama bir bakış sunar. Bireyin ekolojik etkileşimlerine dair senaryoları aktarırken, bireysel varoluşuna etki eden döngüler üzerinden hareket eder.
“Habitus: Uyanış”, bireyin kendiliğine geçişindeki gerilimi konu alan bir hikâye anlatırken, bireysel ve toplumsal hafızayı birleştiren bir ekosistem oluşturur. Basitlik, sadelik ve içsel uyanış ile bağlantılı olan zen bahçesi, resmin kurgusunda önemli bir yer tutmakla birlikte, bireyin doğayla kurduğu ilişkiye dair zıtlıkların hâkim olduğu kültürel bir nüans sunar. Malzeme seçimi, serinin odağındaki bireyin ekolojik etkileşimleri ile bağlantılı olmanın yanı sıra, geri-dönüşüm ve sürdürülebilirlik kavramlarına dikkat çeker.
Focusing on the process of constructing the individual’s existence, the “Habitus” series, creates an ecosystem that develops on the axis of individual-society-nature. It traces practices such as perceiving, feeling, thinking, behaving and surviving that go through a process of internalization specific to human beings. It offers an overview of the environment that shapes this process, which develops with the influence of social and social structures. While conveying scenarios of the individual’s ecological interactions, it acts on the cycles that affect individual existence.
“Habitus: Awakening” tells a story about the tension in the individual’s transition to selfhood and creating an ecosystem that unites individual and collective memory. The Zen garden, associated with simplicity, minimalism, and inner awakening, plays a significant role in the composition of the painting while offering a cultural nuance dominated by contrasts regarding the individual’s relationship with nature. The choice of materials not only relates to the ecological interactions of the individual at the center of the series but also draws attention to the concepts of recycling and sustainability.
