“Gül Takıntısı”, sanatçının göç, aidiyet, bellek ve kimlik temalarını gül imgesi üzerinden ele aldığı kişisel bir projedir. Bulgaristan’dan Türkiye’ye göç etmiş bir geçmişin izlerini taşıyan sanatçı için gül, çocukluk anıları, kültürel kökler ve annesiyle kurduğu bağın simgesidir. Bu seri, parçalanmış aidiyet duygusunu ve geçmişe duyulan özlemi, gülün kokusu, formu ve dokusu aracılığıyla görselleştirir. “Gül Takıntısı”, doğa ile bireysel tarih arasında kurulan kırılgan ama kalıcı bir bağı araştırırken, izleyiciyi de belleğin şiirsel bir yolculuğuna davet eder. Çalışmalar, deneysel karanlık oda ve 19. yüzyıl fotografik baskı teknikleriyle üretilmiş fotogramlardan oluşmaktadır.
“Obsessed with Roses” is a personal project in which the artist explores themes of migration, belonging, memory, and identity through the image of the rose. For the artist, who carries the traces of a past shaped by migration from Bulgaria to Turkey, the rose symbolizes childhood memories, cultural roots, and her connection with her mother. This series visualizes a fragmented sense of belonging and a longing for the past through the scent, form, and texture of the rose. Obsessed with Roses investigates a fragile yet enduring bond between nature and personal history, inviting the viewer on a poetic journey through memory. The works consist of photograms produced using experimental darkroom methods and 19th-century photographic printing techniques.
