‘Feveran’ isimli çalışma kürdanların tek tek bir bütün olarak oluşturduğu bu yoğun form, hem savunmacı hem de davetkar bir beden gibi. Yüzlerce sivri kürdan , bir araya geldikçe yumuşak bir akışa dönüşüyor. Sertlik ile yumuşaklık, diken ile dokunuş arasında gerilim kuruyor. Form, kendi üzerine kıvrıldıkça hem içe kapanıyor hem de dışa taşan bir enerji yayıyor. İzleyiciye hem korunma hissi veriyor hem de içine çekiyor. Malzemenin gündelik sıradanlığı, burada bambaşka bir canlılık kazanıyor; sanki nefes alan, hareket etmeye hazırlanan organik bir varlık gibi..
In the work titled “Feveran” this dense form, composed of individual toothpicks, resembles a body both defensive and inviting. Hundreds of sharp toothpicks, as they come together, transform into a soft flow. A tension builds between hardness and softness, thorniness and touch. As the form folds in on itself, it both introverts and radiates an overflowing energy. It both offers the viewer a sense of protection and draws them in. The everyday ordinariness of the material takes on a completely different vitality here, as if it were a breathing, organic entity poised to move.
