“Öteki” ve “Kutsal” kavramlarına alışılmışın dışında bir bakış açısı ile yaklaşarak bu iki kavramı, birbirlerinin içinde eriyecek akışkanlığa getiriyorum. Burada kutsal olan su imgesi yani dere, yeryüzünün rahmini simgelemektedir. Su, yapısı gereği akışkandır ve yansıtıcı özelliği nedeni ile ayna görevi de görmektedir. Aynı zamanda cinsellik ve bereket ile de bağdaştırılan bu imge, dereyi geçmek eylemi ile birlikte düşünüldüğünde cinselliği ve dişiliği ile yüzleşerek yoluna devam eden bir kadına işaret etmektedir. Burada öteki konumda olan “kadın ve cinselliğin keşfi” gibi başlıklar, kutsal bir yıkamadan geçirilerek dönüştürülmüştür. Bu dönüşüm sonucunda toplum tarafından giydirilen sünnet cübbesi ve kutsal rahim (kutsal kase) gibi imgeler bir arada kullanılmıştır.
I approach the concepts of “Outsider” and “Sacred” from an unconventional perspective, bringing these two concepts to a fluid state where they melt into each other. Here, the sacred image of water, namely the stream, symbolizes the womb of the earth. Water is fluid by nature and, due to its reflective properties, also functions as a mirror. This image, also associated with sexuality and fertility, when considered alongside the act of crossing the stream, points to a woman confronting her sexuality and femininity and moving on. Here, topics such as “the discovery of women and sexuality,” which are considered “outsider,” are transformed through a sacred washing. As a result of this transformation, images such as the circumcision robe and the sacred womb (holy grail) are used together.
