“Beyaz Yüzey” isimli çalışmalarımda kadın artık kendisi değil aynı zamanda çevresinin bir parçası , ona anlam katan bir boşluk içinde var olan bir özne haline gelmiştir. Benim için kullandığım bu alan bir düşünce alanı, bir his, bir sorgulama. O yalnız mı? Özgür mü?
Kaybolmuş mu? Yoksa varlığını boşluk sayesinde daha mı güçlü hissediyor?
Belki tüm bunlar aynı anda.
Kadın, boşlukla tanımlanıyor, boşluk ise kadının varlığıyla doluyor. Belki de bu, insanın kendi çevresiyle olan ilişkisini gösteriyor, kendimizi tanımladığımız alan, bize anlam katan boşluklar. Böylece çalışmalarımda kadın figürü bu boşluk içinde kaybolmuyor tam tersine onunla yüzleşip ona kendi varlığını daha güçlü hissettiren bir alan yaratıyor. Bu da kadının kendi kimliğini özgürce inşa edebilmesi ve varoluşunu sınırlamalar olmadan sürdürülebilmesi anlamına gelir.
In my works titled “White Surface”, the woman is no longer only herself but also becomes a part of her surroundings,an entity existing within a void that gives her meaning. For me,this space I use is a space of thought, a feeling, a questioning. Is she alone?
Is she free?Has she disappeared? Or does she feel her existence even stronger through the emptiness?
Perhaps all of these at once.
The woman is defined by the void, and the void is filled by the presence of the woman. Perhaps this shows the relationship between humans and their surroundings—the space through which we define ourselves, the emptiness that gives us meaning. Thus, in my works, the female figure does not vanish within this emptiness; on the contrary, she confronts it, creating a space that makes her existence feel even stronger. This means that the woman can freely construct her own identity and continue her existence without limitations.
