Bir ağacım vardı bahçemizde; bütün kış onunla konuşurdum, baharda bana küserdi. Bu fotoğraf serisi, kadınların doğa ile kurduğu değişmez ve bütüncül bağı anlatır. Sistem, kadınlar ve doğa üzerinde bir sömürü ve tahakküm düzeni inşa eder. Doğa sessiz bir kaynak hâline getirilirken, kadın bedeninin bastırılması ve sömürülmesi de aynı düşüncenin sonucudur. Bu döngüde baharı beklemek, bir direniş biçiminin en somut hâlidir.
There was a tree in our garden; I talked to it all winter, and in spring it would sulk at me. This photographic series expresses the unchanging and holistic bond between women and nature. The system constructs a regime of exploitation and domination over women and nature. As nature is reduced to a silent resource, the suppression and exploitation of the female body are the result of the same logic. Within this cycle, waiting for spring becomes the most tangible form of resistance.
